Taught by a BackCare Professional & qualified Back4Good® Low Back Pain Practitioner, these classes are suitable for anyone suffering with non-acute or chronic injuries & are particularly suited to anyone recovering from back pain, sciatica, slipped discs, degenerative discs, bulging discs, surgery and osteoporosis; as well as anyone with hip, knee, shoulder & neck problems.

Beginners Pilates Course
Do you want to improve you life, live longer, look and feel better? Our Beginners Course can help you achieve this. The course is for anyone with no or very little experience of Pilates. You will learn the fundamentals & principles of Pilates & work on improving your strength, flexibility and balance with good technique.
The course is structured over six weeks to help you build a sound foundation of the exercises to enable you not only to progress your fitness and exercise to the next level, but also to start feeling the benefit in your daily life as we will be working on improving posture and movement.

Gentle Pilates
Are you finding everyday activities are more effort than they used to be? Do you want to find a spring in your step and have a happier and healthier life? Our Gentle Pilates class will get you there. It is a slower paced, low impact class which is particularly focused towards more mature exercisers & anyone wanting to take more time to hone their Pilates technique.
We work specifically on improving posture, balance, strength and agility. The classes are also great to help with back pain and other aches and pains: movement is amazing!
Age is just a number: there is no minimum or maximum age for this class.

Pre and Postnatal Pilates
Congratulations! We know that you want to be in the best physical and mental health for you and your baby and Pilates is a perfect way of taking care of you both.
Pre-natal is suitable for all mums-to-be, but do check your doctor/midwife is happy that you have no contra-indications.
Suitable for new mums when you have full clearance from your doctor/healthcare professional to return to exercise. Classes provide a gentle, progressive and balanced programme of Pilates to reconnect to your abdominals, activate your pelvic floor muscles & then build strength, flexibility & control. We focus on functional movement & posture enabling you to get you back in shape & fit for the daily challenges of motherhood.

Rehabilitation Pilates
This class supports anyone recovering from and managing injuries, musculoskeletal disorders including osteoarthritis, hip and knee replacements, shoulder problems, rotator cuff injuries, low back pain, and inflammatory conditions including rheumatoid arthritis and gout. We focus on encouraging confidence with movement and assisting appropriate use of muscles. Exercises can be tailored to those managing osteoporosis.
These specialist classes are kept to a maximum of 6 clients to ensure everyone receives the attention they need to practice safely and effectively.
