What is Pilates?
Pilates is a system of whole body physical and mental conditioning that can enhance your physical strength, flexibility and wellbeing.
Pilates is all about functional movement - it improves your body’s natural movement by targeting the deep postural muscles and focusing on correct muscle recruitment enabling you to move freely, flexibly and effectively. By working on your alignment and core stability, and working the joints through their full range of movement, dysfunctional movement patterns (which can cause pain and injury) can be rectified and a strong and healthy body restored.

Pilates, as a physical and mental conditioning system, improves concentration and promotes mental wellbeing – at Core Pilates we believe that achieving and maintaining a healthy body alone is not enough, having a heathy mind is also important.
