Meet Caroline, Founder of The Shisei Method
Caroline Churchill

I'm Caroline, a Pilates teacher, movement coach, and personal trainer who specialises in helping adults navigate the physical challenges that come with getting older.

For years, I've worked with people in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and beyond dealing with chronic pain, old injuries, arthritis, and the frustration of bodies that are starting to hold them back.  I understand how it feels when physio exercises don't stick, when classes don't see you, and when you're told to "just take it easy" because of your age.

That's not how I work.

I created The Shisei Method because I believe your body should support your life, not limit it.  Through personalised Pilates and low-impact strength training, I help you understand how your body moves, build strength around your limitations, and get back to doing what you love, whether that's walking for hours, playing sport, or simply moving through your day

without pain.​

 

I hold qualifications in Level 4 Pilates (mat, reformer, and studio equipment), Personal Training (Level 3), Yoga (YT200), and specialist certifications in bone health, older adults, menopause, back pain, and running coaching.  But more than credentials, I bring genuine confidence working with pain, injuries, and conditions - bridging the gap between rehab and real life.​

 

I live by the sea in the UK, and when I'm not coaching, you'll find me practising what I teach: Pilates, yoga, strength training, running, and long coastal walks.
